The fine art of Tyler Saunders specializing in North American and African wildlife
Tyler Saunders, a native of Central Oregon living in Bend, is drawing a bead on the art scene in a big way. Working in colored pencil for 15 years and now oils, he is a self-taught artist who has been taking Oregon by storm for the last 2 years.
His latest renditions in oils are vibrant and alive. Moving from the fine detail of the colored pencils into oils elevates the collectibility and visibility of his work to a new level. The oil medium is respected and desired by most collectors. Tyler steps up to the brush in a dramatic flair that combines realism and spirit. You'll find yourself looking into nature and feeling as if you are there.
His love of wildlife and nature is more than apparent when you experience his artwork. His drawing of a Bobcat reposing on a mossy rock looks like a sweet kitty begging for a stroke on the head, but his golden eyes staring back at you say, “Don't go there.” The realism in his drawings and oils brings you into the world of Tyler Saunders and presents itself as more than appreciation of wildlife, but an appreciation also of the personality of each individual creature he captures on canvas.
Tyler's art is featured at select galleries in Oregon and Montana where they can be contacted using the Contact link to the left.
